CrossRoads 2
CrossRoads 2 is a project within the European programme Interreg Flanders-Netherlands. Its aim is to stimulate sustainable cross-border cooperation on promising innovation projects between SME/SME companies in Flanders and the Southern Netherlands (Zeeland, North Brabant and Limburg). The core task consists of stimulating innovation by
- bringing companies together and setting up and supervising Flemish/South Netherlands consortia that start up projects together;
- financially supporting companies in their feasibility studies (carried out by an external expert) with the aim of setting up an innovation pathway in a later phase;
- the financial support of clusters of companies in their Flemish/South Netherlands innovation project;
- monitoring these projects and proactively thinking along to follow-up steps and valorisation of the acquired knowledge.
CrossRoads2 reserves 6.75 million euro as a subsidy for innovation projects and 0.5 million euro for feasibility studies. The focus is on technologies with which companies can respond to the growing international demand for smart and sustainable solutions within the following top sectors: high-tech systems, chemicals and materials, agro-food, life sciences & health, cleantech, bio-based economy, logistics & maintenance.
