BEMAS Innovation Awards

With the BEMAS Digital Innovation Award, BEMAS wants to put innovations in the technical maintenance sector in the spotlight.

1. BEMAS Digital Innovation Award

BEMAS has been presenting the BEMAS Digital Innovation Award annually since 2011 in collaboration with easyFairs at the Maintenance exhibition, with the aim of highlighting and stimulating innovations in technical maintenance. All exhibitors at the fair are invited to put together a dossier on their most innovative digital product or service. A professional jury of experienced maintenance and asset management professionals selects the finalists based on scores for criteria such as innovativeness, economic impact and the scope of the innovations.

Smart Maintenance Tools: Digital solutions such as CMMS and EAM systems, IoT platforms, or other digital tools that help to perform maintenance.
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence: Innovations that use big data, machine learning or AI to optimise maintenance processes or for predictive and prescriptive maintenance.
Mobile Applications and Augmented Reality: Apps and AR/VR solutions that improve the interaction between technicians and machines.
Cybersecurity in Asset Management: Digital tools or services that focus on protecting operational technology from cyber attacks.
Digital Twin and Virtual Commissioning: Solutions that use digital representations of physical systems to monitor performance and improve processes.

2. BEMAS Maintenance Innovation Award

Since 2021, there is also a 2nd award to be won: the BEMAS Maintenance Innovation Award, for innovations that are not immediately digital.

Mechanical and Electromechanical Innovations: Improvements in equipment, tools or components that make maintenance tasks easier or more reliable.
Sustainability and Circularity in Maintenance: Innovations that make maintenance processes more environmentally friendly or contribute to a circular economy.
Safety Innovations in Maintenance: Tools, technologies or methodologies that make maintenance work safer.
Materials and Coatings: New materials or coatings that reduce wear, prevent corrosion, or extend the life of assets.
Innovative Services: New or improved maintenance services that reduce costs, increase reliability or add customer value.
