BEMAS highlights Innovations with Prestigious Awards at Maintenance Trade Show
Antwerp, 20 March 2024 - BEMAS, the Belgian maintenance association, presented its coveted Innovation and Digital Innovation Awards at the annual Maintenance Conference in Antwerp. The ceremony, which took place on 20 March 2024, put the spotlight on companies excelling in innovation within the maintenance sector. Several companies with a stand at easyFairs Maintenance 2024 submitted a dossier to compete for the BEMAS Digital Innovation Award & the BEMAS Maintenance Innovation Award. The respective candidates were judged by a professional expert jury on innovation content, recentness and concrete applicability, among other things. During the fair, the members of the professional jury visited the stands of the finalists and the final verdict is known. For Marc Eyckmans (Engie) jury chairman, it was clear: "A lot of energy and creativity has gone into bringing these digital and innovative projects to market. The scalability and tangibility of the products helps relieve from specific troubleshooting."

Yazzoom wins the Digital Innovation Award and BEGA wins the Maintenance Innovation Award.
This year's Digital Innovation Award goes to Yazzoom: Anomaly detection for compressors, heat exchangers and micro-stop detection. They have developed a hybrid model that combines unsupervised algorithms with asset-specific expertise, from mechanical to control engineering. BETEX walks away with the Maintenance Innovation Award with their mobile induction generator. They have developed a lightweight device that makes controlled heating on sites easy. Their recent development is a hit, aimed at high precision maintenance.
Honourable mentions for the Digital Innovation Award finalists:
- Anyware: Anyware has a user-friendly application for process monitoring. It consists of a three-step approach: data integration, acquisition and condition monitoring.
- Insens: Insens, a young start-up that recently entered the Belgian market, rolls out their product around optimisation of energy management and predictive maintenance. They mainly rely on electrical measurements which they translate into appliance integrity and energy consumption.
Honourable mentions for the Maintenance Innovation Award finalists:
-Verschoore & Verkouille: Verschoore & Verkouille focus on process development that focuses on safety, economic added value and getting leaks under control quickly, with the aim of minimising ecological impact on the environment.
- 3D Soil: 3D Soil has succeeded in developing a methodology that
various technologies. The result is highly efficient
soil cartography, not only of cables but also of cavities and soil structures.
Anyware walks away with the audience award!
On the maintenance fair's website, exhibitors could register to take part in the audience award. This year's crowd favourite that stood out head and shoulders above the rest is none other than: Anyware! Anyware is going to enable companies managing assets to move to predictive maintenance without large investments or lengthy implementations. Digitises asset information and combines it with real-time data.
