In this presentation, Marc Winkelman from Procter & Gamble (P&G) delves into the crucial organizational and people foundations necessary for successful operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives. While research indicates that approximately 70% of digital transformations fail due to unprepared organizational and people frameworks, P&G has consistently achieved success in their transformation projects. The presentation aims to answer the question, "What does P&G do differently?"

Often in asset management the role of well performing measurement devices is underestimated. The reason is that only an “asset perspective” is considered ignoring the role of measuring devices. As in the common understanding this is generally “not from where problems arise”.

Up to 60% of rotating assets failures are rooted in poor lubrication practices. Obviously, there is no doubt that this issue has a huge negative impact on reliability and must be properly addressed. The practice of Condition Based Lubrication replaces assumptions and estimates with measurements and data, and guess work becomes a job done in the same manner as Condition Monitoring.

This can have a serious impact on the safety of workers in those facilities, as well as creating potential risks to infrastructure, assets, and production itself.
