In current market conditions, it is important to both optimize Asset Performance and Energy Efficiency. Predicting failures helps maximizing uptime whilst substantial savings can be achieved through better operational management of energy. More reliable monitoring and forecasting of consumption, detection and diagnosis of deviations, awareness of the operators to "variability" of energy.

Today's plants are struggling with a wide array of challenges. In this webinar, Pepite shows how prescriptive algorithms can help you in theory and in practice. The industrial case by 2Valorise shows how you can put your newfound knowledge into practice.

Program

  • What are today’s challenges in operating a plant?
  • How can prescriptive algorithms help optimise production rate, quality and energy performance?
  • How to help the operators to optimise the production process?
  • What are the working principles of the algorithms? (don’ worry, you do not need a degree in mathematics and programming in order to understand this)
  • What tools do you need?
  • What does it look like in practice? (demonstration)

Industry case

2Valorise Amel is a company that operates 2 cogeneration units near St Vith in Belgium. These plants produce heat and electricity from wood waste and biomass.
Due to raw material and process variability, optimising operations and maintenance of such units is extremely difficult. On the other hand, the current monitoring system collects piles of data from several hundred sensors. This data was not being fully exploited.
Implementing AI and Advanced analytics allowed 2Valorise to use this data to accurately predict cogeneration efficiency and detect early performance drifts. For example, cleaning of heat exchangers can be planned in order to optimise their performance and avoid unnecessary shutdowns

About the Webinar Series 'Fundamentals of Asset Performance'

With this free webinar series, we want to help companies take their first steps towards asset performance. You see and learn how you can apply fundamental practices in your company. Furthermore, we focus on the unique collaboration between all departments (maintenance, production, quality,...) in order to achieve higher equipment reliability and ultimately, higher asset performance.
