Global Asset Management Day

Good asset management helps organisations balance the performance, risks and costs of their assets throughout their entire lifecycle.

On 12 April, Global Asset Management Day highlights the importance of professional asset management worldwide. From industrial installations to public infrastructure, well-informed asset decisions contribute to reliability, safety, sustainability and long-term value creation.

Why Global Asset Management Day?

Good asset management goes beyond maintaining machinery and installations. It helps organisations to:

  • Balance performance, risks and costs more effectively;
  • Align maintenance and investment decisions;
  • Improve reliability, availability and safety;
  • Optimise the service life and value of assets;
  • Use energy and raw materials more efficiently;
  • Make informed decisions about replacement and renewal.

Global Asset Management Day highlights these contributions and recognises the professionals who make strategic, technical and operational decisions about assets every day.

About Global Asset Management Day

Global Asset Management Day is an initiative of the Global Forum on Maintenance & Asset Management (GFMAM) and takes place annually on 12 April.

The first edition was held in 2026 under the theme Value Realised, Everywhere. The next edition will take place on 12 April 2027.

Around the world, companies, professional associations and other organisations share practical examples and insights into the value of professional asset management.

The initiative highlights how asset management helps organisations manage performance, costs and risks throughout the entire asset lifecycle, creating sustainable long-term value.

BEMAS and Global Asset Management Day

As an independent knowledge network, BEMAS connects professionals and organisations working in maintenance and asset management. Through training, events and the exchange of practical experience, BEMAS helps bridge the gap between strategic asset management objectives and day-to-day operations.

This mission closely aligns with Global Asset Management Day: highlighting how professional asset management contributes to improved performance, effective risk management, sustainability and value creation throughout the entire asset lifecycle.

BEMAS is proud to contribute to this international initiative. Discover our contributions to the different editions below.
