Real-time Online Insulation Monitoring Technology for Industrial Medium Voltage Electrical System
Insulation Data Now Can be Monitored!
Managing the insulation status of industrial electrical distribution systems (cables, transformers, …) and consumers (electrical motors, heaters, …) is a critical challenge in ensuring operational reliability. Insulation failures can lead to costly downtime, equipment damage, and even safety risks. Conventional detection methods often fall short, as they rely on periodic checks that may miss early warning signs of degradation. In many cases the power system has to be taken off-line in order to be able to perform the tests.
Real-time online monitoring offers a transformative solution by providing continuous insights into insulation integrity of industrial electrical distribution system and the connected consumers. This proactive approach allows to detect and address potential issues before they escalate, safeguarding infrastructure and preventing unplanned outages. Join this webinar to learn how state-of-the-art technology can redefine how you manage insulation safety and improve the performance and reliability of your electrical systems.

About the speaker
Michael Tasellari is an independent advisor for the CENTRALTECH R&D Program. He is also a Sr. Hardware Design and Development Engineer at Cisco.
Michael began his career working for ALERT (a robotics company later acquired by Walmart), where he contributed to the design of an automated robotic system for retail stores and warehouses. Then, he started working at Acacia (a telecom company later acquired by Cisco), supporting the design and development of 400G optical transceivers and industry’s first single carrier 1.2Tbps pluggable module for DCI and long-haul applications. Michael joined SpaceX to lead the avionics and payload development for the next-gen of Starlink satellites that enable global internet connectivity coverage. Recently, he has re-joined Cisco to work on the design and development of the new generation of 800G+ optical transceiver products for data centers. Since 2020, Michael has served as an independent advisor for CENTRALTECH R&D program.
