Welcoming Dirk De Nutte as the new president of BEMAS
On Thursday 1 February, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dirk De Nutte as the new president of our association at BEMAS' first New Year's dinner. Dirk, a renowned figure on our Board of Directors and founder of several companies in the maintenance and asset management sector, takes over from Johan De Coster.
A rich history and a promising future
On 20 March 1989, BEMAS was founded by 10 enthusiastic professionals from different corners of the Belgian maintenance world. Johan De Coster, one of the founding fathers, appointed our current director Wim Vancauwenberghe in his first term as chairman in 2000. After more than 30 years of active involvement in BEMAS, including the last 6 years again as chairman, Johan now hands over the chairmanship to Dirk.
Johan has led BEMAS with determination and vision, playing a crucial role in the growth and professionalisation of our organisation. Under his leadership, BEMAS has grown into a major player uniting more than 600 companies. Johan stresses, "It is inspiring to see how BEMAS continues to grow. I am convinced that this growth will continue under Dirk's chairmanship."
A new phase under Dirk De Nutte's leadership
With an impressive 25-year career in maintenance, reliability and asset management, Dirk brings with him a wealth of experience and innovation. His forward-thinking, agile approach will encourage BEMAS members to adopt new technologies and meet the challenges in our field.
Dirk is determined to keep BEMAS at the centre of the evolution of maintenance and asset management. "I strive to strengthen our industry by fostering collaboration, supporting educational initiatives and further expanding BEMAS' influence. It is my mission to contribute to a more sustainable world through our field," says Dirk De Nutte.
The BEMAS team and Board of Directors welcome Dirk's appointment and look forward to a successful and fruitful collaboration under his leadership.
