I-care nominated for Future Unicorn Award
I-care has been nominated as a finalist for DIGITALEUROPE’s 2026 Future Unicorn Award. I-care develops and produces its own state-of-the-art vibration sensors in a new manufacturing facility in Mons, and combines these with AI-powered, data-driven solutions to detect equipment failures at a very early stage. As a specialist in condition monitoring, reliability engineering and advanced asset health analytics, I-care demonstrates how predictive maintenance and data-driven asset management play an increasingly strategic role in strengthening Europe’s industrial competitiveness.
Recognised as one of Europe’s most promising tech scale-ups
The Future Unicorn Award is an initiative of DIGITALEUROPE and its network of national digital associations. Each country puts forward one promising scale-up with the potential to become a European unicorn. To qualify, companies must be European technology firms demonstrating strong and sustained growth, with more than 20 percent annual expansion over at least three consecutive years.
For the 2026 edition, I-care Group has been selected as the Belgian nominee by Agoria, the Belgian technology federation. The nineteen nominees represent a wide range of digital technologies and come from across Europe, including the EU, the UK, Ukraine and Turkey. Fabrice Brion, CEO and Chairman of the board, emphasises what makes this nomination particularly meaningful: “Being one of nineteen in an economic region of hundreds of millions of citizens and tens of millions of companies underscores I-care’s strong position as a leading European scale-up. What really means a lot to me is the jury: Schneider, Cisco, Siemens, Philips, SAP, Bosch, Microsoft… It is a very professional and business-oriented jury. Being recognised by these kinds of industry leaders makes this nomination truly special.” The winner of the award will be announced on 26 February 2026 during the Masters of Digital event in Brussels.
Recognition for predictive maintenance and asset reliability
Over the past years, I-care has grown from a Belgian specialist into a global reference in predictive maintenance and asset reliability. The company now employs more than 1,000 people worldwide and operates from more than 35 offices in over fifteen countries. Its portfolio combines patented wireless condition monitoring sensors, advanced analytics platforms and high-level reliability engineering expertise. Through these technologies and services, I-care enables industrial companies in sectors such as chemicals, food and beverage, energy, pharmaceuticals and marine to monitor critical assets in real time, detect early signs of failure, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimise maintenance strategies and lifecycle performance.
