Free training courses on sustainable asset management to promote energy efficiency and emission reduction in industry

News

Industry in North-West Europe faces a crucial challenge: how to increase energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining operational performance? The MORE4Sustainability project, supported by Interreg North-West Europe, offers an answer with two free training courses on sustainable asset management.

Sustainable asset management as a lever for energy efficiency and emission reduction

The MORE4Sustainability project, led by BEMAS, Mainnovation, NVDO, FVI and EMC2, focuses on developing concrete roadmap and training programmes for technical decision-makers. The training within this project helps integrate sustainable asset management principles to contribute to the European goals of improving energy efficiency by 32.5% by 2030.

Two free training courses: online introduction and in-depth training

Two training courses will be organised within the project, both free of charge thanks to the support of Interreg NWE:

  1. Introduction training (1 hour - online)
    1. Introduction to Sustainable Asset Management for improving Energy Efficiency and Emissions in industrial companies
    2. This compact training offers a first introduction to sustainable asset management and how it can contribute to a greener, smarter and more efficient industry. Topics such as the 17 building blocks of the Sustainable Asset Management Framework, the impact of maintenance and asset management on CO2 emissions and energy consumption, and strategy development are covered.
  2. In-depth training (1 day - classroom)
    1. Improving Emissions and Energy Efficiency in Industrial Companies with Sustainable Asset Management
    2. In this in-depth training, participants will explore benchmark results, strategies and techniques to optimise energy use and reduce emissions. The training includes practical sessions on asset portfolio optimisation, maintenance strategies, plant electrification and greenhouse gas reuse. Upon successful completion of an online test, participants will receive the ‘Sustainable Asset Management Leader’ certificate.

For whom?

Both courses can be taken separately and are specifically designed for industry professionals working in asset management, maintenance and sustainability. This includes:

  • Maintenance Managers and Engineers who want to integrate energy efficiency and emission reduction into their maintenance policies.
  • Asset Managers and Technical Directors who want to develop sustainable strategies.
  • Operations Managers and Excellence Managers who want to combine sustainability with productivity and quality.
  • Process Engineers and Technical Advisors who want to implement sustainable techniques in industrial processes.

ESG and Sustainability Managers who want to discover how asset management can contribute to energy optimisation and emission reduction.

Practical information: dates and registration

The classroom training will take place at various locations:

  • 18/03/2025 – Colruyt Academy Kortrijk (Dutch)
  • 20/03/2025 – Technocampus Mons (French)
  • 01/04/2025 – Colruyt Academy Haasrode (Dutch)

About the MORE4Sustainability project

The MORE4Sustainability project is a joint initiative of BEMAS, Mainnovation, NVDO, FVI and EMC2, supported by Interreg North-West Europe. The project helps industrial companies put sustainable asset management principles into practice through training. This contributes to the transition to a more sustainable and energy-efficient industry.
