Equans wins first Circular Maintenance Award
Equans has won the Circular Maintenance Award. This is a reward for the efforts made in terms of sustainability and the (re)use of raw materials. The company was presented with the award on the CO3 campus in Terneuzen.
Equans, formerly Engie Solutions, was a finalist together with Yara and Evonik in the election for the most circular company. A total of 70 companies competed for the title. In selecting the finalists, the jury looked at how the companies comply with the thinking that "there is no more waste and raw materials, components and products are designed for reuse".
Economic interests
Ronny Stormezand accepted the award on behalf of Equans. He was obviously very happy with the honorary title. "We design and build installations, and also maintain them. We are constantly looking for improvements to make this as circular as possible." Yet in doing so, he does not forget the cost aspect. "We want to combine ecological and economic interests.
Future
The way they do this at Equans is not only in the interest of the company itself. They see an example function for themselves. "We have to do this to ensure the future of the world. Both for ourselves and for the future of our children and grandchildren." In order to prevent the future of the world from really being at stake, the credo for Stormezand is simple: "Prevention is better than cure."
