Chaudfontaine wins award : "Équipe Technique de l'Année 2022"
Charleroi, 9 June 2022 - Today, BEMAS, the Belgian maintenance association, presented the award for the Technical Team of the Year in Wallonia. During the Maintenance Forum, a day of exchange for maintenance professionals, the three finalists Chaudfontaine, Equans and Galler presented their technical teams and the challenges they have taken up in recent months.
Two prizes were awarded by BEMAS to promote technological innovation and human management in industrial performance. Chaudfontaine was awarded the jury prize, Galler received the public prize.
Chaudfontaine
In the summer of 2021, the south of our country was hit by severe flooding. The Chaudfontaine - Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Galler factories had to react quickly. Chaudfontaine was able to get production back on track quickly thanks to solid planning and the optimistic motivation of its employees. In just 5 weeks, they were able to restart the 2 most important production lines, without losing sight of safety and quality.
The commitment of the staff and the mastery of crisis management made this feat possible, illustrating the importance of maintaining close-knit maintenance teams capable of reacting in the face of adversity.
Galler
At Galler, 3600 m² disappeared under the water. Their technical department is an example of Belgian resilience: they were able to temporarily move production to the Eeklo site and the company was able to react quickly by restoring its stick production machine in record time. Galler's commitment to the objectives of sustainable development, which was the overall theme of today's Forum, is particularly noteworthy. This commitment is reflected in the monitoring of environmental impacts throughout the production process. Moreover, an efficient collaborative organisation makes it possible to achieve this remarkable level of performance for an SME.
EQUANS
Within EQUANS, various departments have collaborated on an Artificial Intelligence project to optimise predictive maintenance solutions. The aim is not only to detect anomalies in equipment quickly and accurately, but also to anticipate them. Thanks to an original prototype specially developed for this purpose, EQUANS can now offer manufacturers 4.0 solutions adapted to their needs.
