BEMAS launches search for the best technical team of 2023
Every year, BEMAS organises a competition where technical teams can win one of the most prestigious awards in the industry, for " Technical Team of the Year". The initiative has grown from the title "Maintenance Manager of the Year", where the accolades went to the manager involved, to an event where the efforts of the entire team are honoured.
Technical departments that work hard every day to optimise maintenance and technical asset performance are indispensable to their business. The competition offers a great opportunity to organisations that have been able to improve their maintenance and asset management practices over the past year have a great opportunity, to put their technical colleagues in the spotlight. After all, achieving that kind of growth can only come from a cohesive technical team committed to optimising and applying ingenious best practices every day.
The competition for 2023 is now open. All types of technical teams can enter, so both maintenance departments working internally at an industrial plant and technicians providing services to customers. All finalists will have the occasion to present their project and/or team performance at the Symposium, where a professional jury will designate the winner. Both the jury award and the public award will be presented that same evening during the Awards Show on 22 March 2023 in Flanders, or on 27 April in Wallonia.
Those who register have a chance to follow in the footsteps of Pfizer and Chaudfontaine, last year's winners. They each received an award as well as a cash prize for a team incentive. The jury awarded Pfizer's team effort, where thanks to the smooth cooperation between engineering, production and maintenance, a conversion to a production line for corona vaccines was created in just three months. In Wallonia, Chaudfontaine won the jury award because their team was able to restart production in record time after the severe floods in summer 2021. This was only possible thanks to solid planning and the motivation of all employees. DP World and Chocolaterie Galler were able to convince the public the most and won the audience award.
