Companies that work in explosive environments must take the necessary measures so that employees can perform their work in a safe manner.

Especially for inspection and maintenance work, EX environments are a serious challenge. Technological innovations can help to reduce the risk. Today, it is possible to deploy robots that act as the eyes, ears and nose in the field, while the human operator is located in a comfortable and safe control room many kilometres away.

During this webinar, you will gain insight into one of the latest developments from industry 4.0: robot operators. You will learn how robots collect data, how this data is analysed by digital twins using machine learning and how Artificial Intelligence will soon control (a fleet of) robots from a digital twin. This isn't something for the future either: early adopters in the industry are already using this technology and deploy robotics on a daily basis to find deficiencies in their assets.

We take you into the world of robotics, including a live demonstration of how things work in practice.

Program

  • Introduction to ExRobotics and Energy Robotics
  • Fleet management: how to manage multiple robots and drones of different brands from a central infrastructure?
  • How to use public cloud infrastructure, data handling and connectivity in a safe way
  • Robot platforms: which ones are currently available and what is their functionality?
  • Live demonstration
  • Q&A

The speakers

Iwan de Waard is founder and director of ExRobotics. He works with a team of 15 robotics & IoT experts to develop robust, reliable robots for demanding environments that require Ex zone 1 certification. These IECEx- and ATEX-certified robots are the new benchmark for inspection and examination of potentially explosive facilities.

Marc Dassler is the founder and president of Energy Robotics. He works with a team of 15 software specialists to develop fleet management, autonomous software, and AI/ML software. This new software, together with the ExRobotics robot, forms a state-of-the-art solution.
