Project SM4RTENANCE
BEMAS is a project partner of SM4RTENANCE, a consortium of 47 partners from 11 EU countries. With an investment of 14M€, SM4RTENANCE aims to establish a Data Space federation and demonstrate the potential of multilateral digital value chains for collaborative and circular maintenance in the manufacturing industry. We would like to invite you to the online presentation of the largest initiative to implement European Common Data Spaces for Industry 4.0.
SM4RTENANCE, with a budget of €14 million, will take the lead in building one of the 12 strategic common European data spaces identified by the EC's 2020 data strategy. The European Industrial Data Space will improve the competitiveness, sustainability and resilience of Industry 4.0.
SM4RTENANCE will grow a European ecosystem and facilitate the creation of new manufacturing data networks for the implementation of flexible management and predictive maintenance services of production assets in factories. SM4RTENANCE will provide the industrial sector with the necessary infrastructures, digital services and digital manufacturing platforms to maximise the benefits of data sharing at scale.
The role of BEMAS
In the Sm4rtenance project, BEMAS plays a supporting role, focusing on dissemination activities. As a non-profit organization, BEMAS leverages its network in the maintenance and asset management community to share project results with professionals in Belgium and beyond. BEMAS primarily contributes by promoting the project through its established channels, including newsletters, webinars, and events, ensuring that key stakeholders are informed about the project’s developments.
With a network of over 40,000 contacts and 60,000 annual website visitors, BEMAS ensures broad outreach. A key platform for this is the international Asset Performance conference, which BEMAS organizes, bringing together professionals in maintenance and asset management to discuss trends and innovations. Through this and other events, BEMAS helps disseminate the advancements of the Sm4rtenance project, particularly in the areas of smart manufacturing and digital transformation.
BEMAS is also a member of the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS), which helps extend its reach across Europe. Although BEMAS does not run a pilot in the Sm4rtenance project, its role in communication and dissemination ensures that relevant insights and outcomes are shared widely with the industry. By leveraging its strong connections and communication platforms, BEMAS effectively supports the project’s goal of fostering knowledge and collaboration within the maintenance community.
