About the speakers
Margherita Maria Carlotta Carmine began her career at Daikin Italy in 2016, serving as a Project Engineer in the technical back office for residential heating applications. By 2020, she transitioned to Daikin Europe, joining the product management team and taking responsibility for collective heating applications, particularly for multifamily housing. In 2022, she shifted to the Digital Business Department, where she now leads the development of the e-Care app.
Her academic background includes a master's degree in Energy Engineering with a specialization in Power Production, which she completed in 2015 at Politecnico di Milano. Prior to joining Daikin, Margherita worked briefly at Krohne, a German company specializing in measurement instrumentation.
Pieter-Paulus Vertongen has been leading Aaltra, a digital innovation studio based in Melle, Belgium, as CEO since 2007. Under his leadership, Aaltra has grown into a key player in the digital solutions landscape, with a focus on user experience design and IoT innovations. His journey in the digital space began with a background in Internet & Software Technology, which equipped him with the technical and creative expertise to tackle complex challenges across various industries. Today, Pieter-Paulus and his team at Aaltra specialise in delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive digital transformation for businesses. In addition to his role at Aaltra, Pieter-Paulus remains an active voice in discussions on operational excellence and the future of digital innovation.
