How can Asset Management help to grow Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
The North-West Europe (NWE) region is key to reach the EU’s target of an increased overall energy efficiency of 32,5% until 2030. The industry in NWE is the largest consumer of fossil energy and needs to take considerable steps in order to reach the objectives. A set of best practices, called Sustainable Asset Management (AM), will help industrial companies to improve energy efficiency and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
This webinar has been recorded on 28 March 2024. Do you want to re-watch it? Go to our Shop.
Sustainable AM is contributing to this goal through the consistent application of practical Maintenance, Overhaul, Repair & Engineering (MORE) activities, like equipment isolation, low energy lighting, high-efficiency HVAC, equipment electrification, condition monitoring, preventive maintenance, waste heat capturing, energy management systems, etc. Unfortunately only few companies in NWE are aware of this potential and have actually started with Sustainable Asset Management.
About MORE4Sustainability
The MORE4Sustainability project, led by BEMAS, the Belgian Maintenance Association, alongside Mainnovation, NVDO, FVI, and EMC2, is a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering a green, smart, and just transition in the North-West Europe (NWE) region. This project seeks to make a tangible difference in the industrial landscape.
At the core of our efforts lies a groundbreaking benchmark study, set to take place in March and April of 2024. We are aiming participation from over 200 companies spanning Belgium, The Netherlands, France, and Germany. This study aims to gather invaluable insights into sustainable asset management practices, providing a comprehensive overview of current industry standards and challenges. Each participant receives a full and personalized benchmark report to help you grow further in Sustainable Asset Management.
But the More4Sustainability project goes beyond mere analysis – it's about action. Insights gleaned from the benchmark study will serve as the cornerstone for developing a robust roadmap, laying the groundwork for a transformative training program. Targeting technical management professionals operating in asset-intensive industries, this program will equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive sustainable practices within their organizations.
Join us on March 12th as we explain the upcoming benchmark study and explore how you can actively participate in this groundbreaking initiative. Discover firsthand the impact you can make in advancing energy efficiency.
Why participate in the benchmark survey?
We are actively looking for Maintenance and Asset Managers in the manufacturing and process industries across Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and France to fill out this survey.
Participation is free. Participants receive a personal and exclusive benchmark report, where your actual maintenance and asset management KPIs are compared to companies in the same industrial sector. The benchmark also links the level of performance in maintenance and asset management with the level of performance in sustainability.
