This year, we are honored to feature a distinguished guest speaker: Françoise Chombar of Melexis, a global leader in semiconductor sensors for the automotive industry. She will share her perspective on innovation and inclusivity as driving forces for sustainable growth.
Innovation and inclusion in industry: a Yin-Yang?
Innovation powers sustainable growth and competitiveness within companies. At the same time, diversity and inclusion act as crucial catalysts for innovation. Teams with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives are better equipped to solve complex problems and develop creative solutions.

However, the industry, especially the technical sector, lags behind in diversity. The number of women and individuals from diverse backgrounds in technical roles remains too low. This calls for decisive action. How can we make the industry more appealing to these groups?

About the keynote speaker
Françoise Chombar, Founder and Chair of the Board at Melexis, is a passionate advocate for gender equality and STEM education, especially for young women. As Chair of the Flemish STEM Platform, she actively promotes these causes. During her tenure as CEO from 2004 to 2021, she transformed Melexis into a global leader in semiconductors and sensors, with significant applications in industries such as automotive. Françoise has received numerous accolades, including Limburg Entrepreneur of the Year, the Honorary Medal from KU Leuven, and the Automation Magazine Award in 2024 for her contributions to technological innovation and STEM education.
