Asset Performance Conference & Exhibition

13 & 14 November 2024 in Antwerp, Belgium

The Asset Performance Conference and Exhibition is approaching its fifth edition! On 13 & 14 November 2024, we organise a programme filled with presentations by industry experts who will share their knowledge with you on all innovations in the field of Maintenance and Asset Management.

With the rapid digitization of technical machinery and assets, particularly in the advent of Industry 5.0, it can be challenging for technical managers to grasp the full range of possibilities and potential benefits for organizations. Recognizing this need, BEMAS spearheaded the establishment of the international Asset Performance conference in 2020, centered around digitization and asset performance.

This year, a live edition in Antwerp is on the agenda: two days filled with valuable insights and learning opportunities for professionals who are involved in maintenance, reliability, and asset management, empowering you to stay at the forefront of industry developments.

The content of the conference and the recordings of last year remain accessible on the interactive platform for 1 year for you to watch whenever you want. The platform offers a unique opportunity to learn how new 4.0 technologies and fundamentals in operations, maintenance and asset management reinforce each other to achieve higher equipment reliability and cost performance in asset-intensive industries. We also organise additional webinars and workshops with Asset Performance after the conference, so be sure to register and become part of the Asset Performance Community!

Why Asset Performance ?

The industrial landscape is currently right in the middle of the Fourth Industrial Revolution with technologies such as the industrial internet of things (IIoT), big data, predictive analytics, machine learning and more being implemented at an ever-increasing pace. The combination of IIoT and predictive analytics offers unseen possibilities for operations, maintenance and asset reliability with more diverse and affordable solutions to monitor and increase asset performance (equipment uptime, energy consumption, quality output, etc.).

However, practice shows that in order to really cope with the challenges of the 21st century, assets need to interact harmoniously with people. By developing human-centred, innovative technologies  , Industry 5.0 can not only support and empower workers, but also enhance the resilience of industry and make it more sustainable. That’s why the European Union has placed the evolution towards Industry 5.0 high on its agenda, and so have we!

At the Asset Performance conference you will learn how to achieve higher equipment reliability and cost performance, while improving resilience and sustainability, by focussing on digital transformation and human-centric improvements to operations, maintenance and asset management.

History

In 2018, BEMAS successfully brought the Euromaintenance conference and exhibition to Belgium for the second time. In 2008 there were more than 750 participants and 10 years later the result was even better with almost 1,300 visitors. The success showed that asset owners are becoming more and more aware of the new 4.0 technologies that currently exist and that will come onto the market in the coming years.

This success formula has formed the basis of Asset Performance.

In 2020, BEMAS organised the first edition of Asset Performance. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we then transformed the conference into an online platform. More than 650 industry professionals gathered here live online from 15 to 17 September 2020. This was also the immediate start to focus on an online community. Asset Performance does not only focus on the days of the conference itself, but ensures that participants have access to the recordings throughout the year and are spoilt with new webinars on the regular.

The following year, Asset Performance could go hybrid for the first time: the conference and exhibition took place in 2021 at the FMCCA in Antwerp, and the presentations could be followed along via livestream. The well-filled programme allowed all visitors to put together their own itinerary with workshops and presentations in 6 different tracks. And, of course, there was also the highly appreciated exhibition concept, which received high praise from both exhibitors and visitors. All presentations were of course recorded and remain available to those who subscribe to the Asset Performance platform, which had more than 900 unique participants in 2021.

In 2022, the conference took place virtually again, with 3 inspiring afternoons filled with the succesfull formula of carefully selected presentations spread over 5 tracks. In 2023, the live conference of 2 days welcomed 500+ participants from 25 different countries. The AP platform remains active with over 300 recordings, proving itself as a leading European content platform on digital transformation in the field of industrial production and infrastructure management.
