- Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Asset Health Assurance (AHA)
- Select the appropriate analysis technique for each failure mode
- Identify the fundamental requirements necessary to draw up a maintenance plan
- Create an Asset Health Matrix
- Select the machines that should be part of a predictive maintenance programme
- Achieve the right balance between the amount of predictive and preventive tasks
- Integrate a new maintenance plan into the existing approach
- Use predictive techniques to detect failure modes:
- ultrasonic analysis (airborne & structure-borne)
- oil analysis
- vibration analysis
- Know and be able to avoid common mistakes for each predictive technique
- Be able to start up a predictive maintenance programme (both in terms of training and technology)
- Know what "Asset Health" is, and how it can be measured
- Apply the concepts of functional hierarchy and FMEA
